Collin County Area REALTORS® & MetroTex Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors Approve Plan of Merger
WHAT IS IT?
On March 27, 2025, the Collin County Area REALTORS® and MetroTex Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors voted to approve a Plan of Merger. A unified association will wield greater influence in advocacy, provide expanded professional development opportunities, and offer more robust resources to every member. We will be better equipped to serve our communities, support our members’ success, and navigate the ever-changing landscape.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A:
What will the association name be?
Q:
The merged association will be named “MetroTex Association of REALTORS®”.
A:
Is the merger already a done deal?
Q:
No. The March 27, 2025, vote allows both associations to participate in a due diligence period. If, after due diligence, the Boards of both associations vote to move forward, the ultimate decision to merge will be in the hands of our members with a vote to approve the merger.
A:
Will this cause any interruption to my MLS or eKey access?
Q:
Both associations will work together to ensure a smooth transition, so you have continued access to the tools and resources you need.
A:
Will jobs be lost?
Q:
No. All staff from both associations will have a role in the merged association.

A:
How can I vote?
Q:
Great question! If, after due diligence has been completed, both Boards vote to recommend the merger to the membership, we will ensure all members have the opportunity to make their voices heard.
